Fern Digital Knit Office Chair

I’m impressed with the chair’s design and build quality, but I ran into two shipping issues and one major concern about the Emberglow color option.

Shipping

1. Damaged packaging
When the chair arrived, the box was almost open and held together by a single strip of tape. In the U.S. the chair ships fully assembled in a sturdy, well-sealed carton, but in the EU it ships as a knock-down kit that customers have to assemble. At nearly USD 2,000 (even at the sale price I paid), I expect packaging that protects the product all the way to my door.

2. Missing plastic sleeves
My chair came without the protective plastic sleeves I’ve seen in every U.S. unboxing video. Those sleeves shield the fabric from rain and scratches and give you the satisfaction of opening a truly brand-new item. Arriving unwrapped—especially in Emberglow—made me wonder for a moment if I’d received a return.

Color options

I chose Emberglow because the U.S. site showed a bright orange and white palette. In the EU store, though, Emberglow is a muted grey and orange fabric on a grey base. The combination looks as if the chair sat in the sun for months and the vibrant orange has faded.
That’s partly my fault for not double checking regional differences, but I’d love to see the same vibrant choices offered in the U.S.
If possible, please offer a version with a white and orange fabric on a white base; the lighter contrast would keep the color looking fresh instead of washed out.

Northern Europe may be known for grey weather, but that’s exactly why many of us crave brighter furniture that lifts our mood. I’d happily buy any of these U.S. configurations if they were available here:

Digital Knit fabric in Ember color with a Polished Aluminum base (much livelier than Ember with the Fog base)
Gradient Knit in Beach Glass color with a Polished Aluminum base

Overall

Fantastic chair and top tier engineering, but better packaging and a wider, more vibrant EU color palette would make the buying experience as outstanding as the product itself.

Quick DIY colour tip
If you love the chair but not the stock colour like me, buy two large pillowcases in a palette you like, one for the backrest and one for the seat.
It’s an inexpensive, easy way to brighten the look until more official colour options arrive. (it also protect the chair fabric)

The chair is ok , nothing to say about it . What I don't understand is why you don't ship it to Romania ( I had to ship it to Belgium and to pay 200 euro to send it finally to Romania )

J'aurais bien acheté la Fern mais m'entendre dire que les Européens ne sont là que pour vous embêter me fait dire que je n'achéterai plus rien d'Américain à l'avenir.
