Giulio Cappellini’s favorite shapes are simple, yet uncommon, and the Bong table perfectly represents this concept:

a sphere cut on the upper part to become a service table or a seat.

Bong is made of molded fiberglass, manufactured with a proprietary process developed by Cappellini.

The inside of the table is completely empty, which makes it extremely light and easily transportable, and it creates a nice contrast between real and perceived weight, in particular with the white Carrara marble finish which is not real, but obtained with a particular 3D application, called DipPrint®, which uses hydrostatic pressure to apply a special decoration on a surface.
